Bangladesh 10th in CPJ�s journalist murder impunity index

Bangladesh has positioned tenth in worldwide exemption file 2017 over giving 'finish exemption' to killers of columnists.

The Board of trustees to Ensure Columnists (CPJ) distributed the report tilted 'escaping with kill' on 31 October.

As indicated by the CPJ, "Dangers from rough radical gatherings working past the scope of experts support high exemption rates in Bangladesh."

Seven Bangladesh columnists, as indicated by the report, were murdered in the previous decade with 'finish exemption'.

"Since 2015, a few suspects have been confined in these and other fierce assaults against common bloggers and editors."

It said just the killer of Ahmed Rajib Haider, who was hacked to death in 2013, was indicted in the previous decade.

Alluding to a killer of blogger Avijit Roy, CPJ report stated, "In 2015, two attackers cut and hacked blogger Avijit Roy to death as he was leaving a book reasonable in the Dhaka College grounds territory. Roy, a naturalized US resident of Bangladeshi birthplace, composed blog entries on common issues including agnosticism and free articulation. Senior writer Riaz Uddin revealed to Prothom Alo that the exemption culture and deferral in an examination are stressing. "No columnist kill case has been indicted legitimately up 'til now. No appropriate examination has been done in Sagar-Runi kill case. Considering every one of those things, we can state CPJ's perception is honest."

A few stages of the columnists have been requesting equity for killed writers for a long.

The leader of the Bangladesh Government Union of Columnists Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul revealed to Prothom Alo that the data given in the CPJ's report mirrored reality.

"The murdering of the columnists is unnerving, and the inability to get equity involves concern."

He additionally said the columnist executing must be ceased.
